Endocrine Physician
UW Health in northern Illinois seeks a BE/BC Endocrinologist to join our endocrine and diabetes team. As one of three endocrinologists providing dedicated support to the 280+ providers of SwedishAmerican Medical Group, you will enjoy a busy community-based outpatient practice with consult-only hospital coverage.
For more than a century, our community-based health system has strived to build a stronger, healthier community for the people of northern Illinois. With over 100 primary care providers in our medical group – and the preferred health system for primary care in the region, you have the benefit of a built-in referral base to grow your practice.
Your practice includes the following:
- Working alongside our team of three endocrinologists and one APP
- On site certified diabetic educators, clinical dieticians and clinical pharmacists
- Newly renovated state-of-the-art clinic
- Access to ADA-recognized diabetes education program with RN and RD educators at Diabetes Self-Management Clinic
- Extended support from endocrine surgery (located on site) as well as oncologic subspecialists from University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, WI
- Academic Appointment And teaching opportunities available through the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford
Qualifications:
- MD or DO; BC or BE
- Active license in the State of Illinois and active DEA license, or the ability to apply for such licenses prior to or upon hire.
