Description
Looking for a full-time or part-time BC/BE endocrinologist for a private practice in South Jersey, located about 20 minutes from Philadelphia. We are part of a large physician-owned multi-specialty group called Advocare, which handles our malpractice insurance, contracting, EMR support, credentialing, and other matters, while the practice itself is free to choose our own hours, hire our own people, and function mostly independently. The office mostly runs as a small practice, with personalized care, long-term employees, and developing meaningful relationships with our patients, but we we still have the backing of a large organization to stay current and competitive. We do not have hospital administrators dictating how we have to practice medicine. We can be flexible with hours (part-time is an option also), but our current schedule is first patient at 8:15 am every day, except we start later on Wednesdays and end earlier on Fridays.
Our main office is located in Turnersville, NJ. As we are outpatient-only, there are no weekends, and call is by phone only.
There are currently 3 providers in the group, including Dr. Charles DelGiorno, who started the practice in 2009, having trained at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, completing residency at Jefferson, and then fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Florida. Shannon O'Brien is a nurse practitioner who did most of her education and post-graduate training at the University of Pennsylvania. She primarily sees diabetic patients and has a particular interest in pump management. Dr. Amin joined in 2021, having trained at Albany Medical Center in New York.
In addition, we have a registered dietitian onsite who is progressing to become a certified diabetes care & education specialist (CDCES), and does pump trainings on site. We pride ourselves on using the newest technologies, while also understanding financial and other constraints to individualize care for our patients. Requirements
- Must be board-eligible or board certified in Endocrinology.
- Must obtain a New Jersey Medical license
