Company Overview
Advocare DelGiorno Endocrinology is a private adult endocrine practice in the suburbs of Philadelphia, with 2 offices. Our main office is located in Turnersville, New Jersey, and our newest office location opened in 2021, in Marlton, NJ (both offices are about 20 minutes from Philadelphia). We are part of a large multi-specialty group called Advocare, and we provide consulting services for general endocrinology and diabetic patients.
Dr. DelGiorno obtained his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, and went on to residency in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He completed his endocrinology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Florida, and started the practice in 2009. Shannon O'Brien is a nurse practitioner who did most of her education and post-graduate training at the University of Pennsylvania. She primarily sees diabetic patients and has a particular interest in pump management. Dr. Amin joined in 2021, having trained at Albany Medical Center in New York.
We also have a registered dietitian on site to provide dietary counseling, and we conduct diabetes education classes as well.
Company History
The multi-specialty group Advocare was founded in 1998 by a group of pediatricians, originally named Children's Health Associates. It has experienced tremendous growth, adding adult care practices as well as specialty practices in adult and pediatric medical subspecialties. DelGiorno Endocrinology is proud to have joined Advocare in 2009 and continue its tradition of excellence.
