Welcome to Howard Regional Health System, North Central Indiana's preferred provider of choice. Our integrated system of care includes an acute care hospital, a rehabilitation hospital, a planned long-term acute care hospital, comprehensive behavioral health services, a strategically growing number of outlying clinics, and a full range of inpatient, outpatient and ambulatory care programs. Founded in 1961, Howard Regional employs more than 1,400 persons. Howard Regional Health System is the third largest employer in Kokomo and is the largest healthcare employer in Kokomo.

Howard Regional Health System's service area is home to approximately 250,000 people. The area has a rich history and diverse culture, with strong healthcare and educational communities. Located within an hour of Indianapolis, the city of Kokomo is the heart of Howard Regional's service area. We are a regional acute care hospital system comprised of two hospitals on three campuses. Well-positioned financially to move forward with a comprehensive three-year strategic plan, our focus is on continued growth and enhanced quality services. Accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, Howard Regional Health System earns consistently high patient satisfaction ratings. The System provides a broad range of acute care and ancillary services. Our West Campus Specialty Hospital and the rehabilitation services it offers rounds out our continuum of care.

Acute care services include, but are not limited to, cardiology, cardiothoracic, behavioral health, emergency services, endocrinology, gastroenterology, general surgery, intensive care, neurology, obstetrics, medical and radiation oncology, opthamology, orthopaedics, otolaryngology, pediatrics, podiatry, plastic surgery, rehabilitation, rheumatology, urology and vascular surgery. The System also provides various other services and facilities including ambulatory care, anesthesia, blood bank, cardiac catheterization, cardiac rehabilitation, sleep center, diabetic center, laboratory services, linear accelerator and IMRT therapy, lithotripsy, nuclear medicine, outpatient surgery, radiology, physical and respiratory therapy and womens imaging, diagnostic and wellness services among others. Howard Regional Health System also offers Kokomo and surrounding communities a wide range of support groups, health education and special programs.

As a community hospital, we value our patients and strive to provide them with exceptional quality care. Howard Regional is proud to consistently receive high patient satisfaction ratings, placing among the top hospitals in the country. HRHS has grown significantly over the years, continuing to be the local market share leader. HRHS recently opened our new Emergency Room and are fortunate to have Board Certified Emergency Room physicians at our Level 2 Trauma center. We also have the services of a helicopter agency stationed on campus 24/7. Our ER expands from 12 rooms to 25 rooms and includes a fast track area in a new state of the art facility. We have also added more labor delivery rooms, post partum rooms, and medical surgical rooms to our main campus within the past year. We are also planning to double the size of our ICU from 8 to 16 beds and add a new long term acute care facility to the west campus within the next year as well.
