Company Overview
Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine (LG Health/Penn Medicine), a member of the University of Pennsylvania Health System (Penn Medicine), is a 631-licensed bed not-for-profit health system with a comprehensive network of care encompassing Lancaster General Hospital (LGH), Women & Babies Hospital and the Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital (in partnership with Kindred Healthcare). Our membership in Penn Medicine brings together the strengths of a world-renowned, not-for-profit academic medical center and a nationally recognized, not-for-profit community healthcare system.
Outpatient services are provided at the Downtown and Suburban Pavilions, along with additional outpatient centers and Express and Urgent Care locations throughout the region. Lancaster General Health Physicians is a network of more than 300 primary-care and specialty physicians, at more than 40 offices throughout the region. Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences is a private, co-educational, Middle States-accredited four-year college offering a variety of associate and baccalaureate degree and certification programs in healthcare.
Thrice designated a Magnet hospital for nursing excellence, LGH has been recognized regionally and nationally for clinical excellence and patient safety; and ranked nationally by U.S. News & World Report as one of the nation’s best hospitals in 2016-17.

Since 1893, Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine has been meeting the healthcare needs of Lancaster County residents. While our mission remains unchanged, our facilities have changed and expanded to keep pace with the latest medical advances. We have also grown from a downtown hospital to a healthcare organization with locations throughout Lancaster County.
Benefits
HEALTH BENEFIT PROGRAM:
Provides employees with affordable healthcare coverage through LG Select (low-deductible/premium based) or LG Consumer (high deductible/no premium). Program provides in-patient, out-patient, behavioral health and prescription drug coverage.
DENTAL PROGRAM:
Coverage is available for preventive, simple restorative, major restorative and orthodontia dental procedures.
FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT:
This program allows employees to use pre-tax dollars deducted from their pay to help cover eligible out-of-pocket health, dental, and vision expenses and dependent care (daycare) costs.
HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNT:
This program allows employees to use pre-tax dollars deducted from their pay to help cover eligible out-of-pocket health, dental, and vision expenses.
LIFE AND AD&D INSURANCE:
Lancaster General Health provides eligible employees with life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.
RETIREMENT SAVINGS PLAN:
Employees are automatically enrolled in the Retirement Savings Plan. Lancaster General Health matches employee contributions, up to 3% of compensation. Participants are vested in employer matching contributions after the completion of three calendar years of 1,000 or more hours of service.
PAID TIME BANK (PTB):
The Paid Time Bank provides compensation for holidays, personal, short-term or intermittent illness absences and vacation days.
SHORT TERM DISABILITY (STD):
Lancaster General Health employees accrue STD hours each pay period.
LONG TERM DISABILITY (LTD):
Lancaster General Health provides employees with LTD for absences greater than 90 consecutive days, due to a disabling illness.

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM:
This program provides confidential counseling services for you and your family members.
EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE FUND:
This fund provides financial support for employees facing a wide range of temporary circumstances that cause or create personal or family hardships.
CONVENIENCE PHARMACY:
Employees are given discounts on prescription drugs, as well as a discount on over-the-counter items, through the LG Health Convenience and Lifecare Pharmacies.
VOLUNTARY SHORT TERM DISABILITY:
Employees have the option to purchase additional disability income insurance. This benefit helps to safeguard income in the event of a prolonged illness or injury.
VOLUNTARY LIFE INSURANCE PLANS & ACCIDENTAL DEATH AND DISMEMBERMENT:
Employees may purchase optional life insurance for themselves and their dependents at low group insurance rates.
