Mountain States Health Alliance, a private, not-for-profit health system, is anchored by the Johnson City Medical Center, a 407-bed, tertiary facility and primary teaching facility for East Tennessee State University's Quillen College of Medicine. Our organization is assisting with the recruitment of Endocrinologists for the University, who will also help meet the community need for this specialty by seeing clinical patients from our community. This 9-facility system is the largest in Northeast Tennessee with programs reaching into Virginia and North Carolina. Additionally, the system is affiliated with a larger network of providers in Northeast Tennessee, Southwest Virginia and Western North Carolina called the Mountain States Healthcare Network. This 50+ institution network has created multiple opportunities within a 3 state region. Quillen College of Medicine with residency programs in all primary care specialties and numerous sub-specialties. Today, the Mountain States Health Alliance family - Indian Path Medical Center, Indian Path Pavilion, Johnson City Medical Center, The Children's Hospital at Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City Specialty Hospital, North Side Hospital, The James H. and Cecile C. Quillen Rehabilitation Hospital, Sycamore Shoals Hospital, and Johnson County Health Center - provides an integrated, comprehensive continuum of care to people in 28 counties in Tennessee, Virginia, Kentucky, and North Carolina. All are fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Besides our hospitals, Mountain States Health Alliance's integrated health care delivery system includes 21 primary/preventive care centers and 13 outpatient care sites, including First Assist Urgent Care, Medical Center North, Health Advantage Occupational/Industrial Medicine, Med-One, of Tennessee, MedWorks, Same Day Surgery, Rehab Plus, Senior Partners Health Centers and Blue Ridge Physician Group.
